Hello all ❤️

Here are my latest discoveries!

On Artists Pages this week, I featured Emerson Mayes, who pulls animals from oil paint like ghosts to capture the beauty of nature. And Elliot Wair, whose surreal paintings dive into the depths of the human mind — its twists, turns, and dark corners.

Introducing Matt Talbert, with 33 Contemporary.

Matt Talbert is a painter whose work explores emotional states rather than outward appearances, blurring the line between our physical reality and the one happening in our minds.

Using oil paint, he contrasts the subtlety of skin tones with bold colors and thick textures in the background, enhancing the emotions at play.

Talbert seeks facial expressions that reveal universal truths about what it means to be human, trusting intuition, embracing spontaneity, and working with confidence to bring each piece to life.

Discover Matt Talbert's artwork, along with many others at Artsy or visit the 33PA showroom in their South Florida location at the Palm Beach Art & Design showroom.

Art Prompt

This week’s inspiration comes from In the Springtime of Life by Ian Felice — a piece full of warmth and quiet emotion. Your challenge: create something that evokes a similar feeling, in whatever way it resonates with you. Let it call to mind a song, an album, or a moment in your life — and translate that feeling into your work.

See you next Sunday 👋

Thank you so much!
