Hello all ❤️

Here are my latest discoveries!

On Artists Pages this week, Ruth Borgenicht, who creates chain-mail in clay. Dahren Davey, who uses unassuming materials like highlighters to create portraits. Nieves González, who painted the baroque-inspired oil painting for Lily Allen’s new album, West End Girl. I also shared the importance of our charity partner, Arts Emergency here!

Produce high-quality art products, without stock or upfront costs.

This is your last chance to order the Artists Pages Charity Calendar before Christmas, and I truly think it’s a beautiful gift for any art lover. Featuring twelve incredible artists, all profits are being donated to Arts Emergency, a grassroots organisation helping underrepresented young creatives access opportunities in the industry.

To produce and ship this calendar, we're using Gelato, who make it possible to create high-quality products without the barriers artists usually face — no stock to manage, no upfront investment, and no waste. Everything is printed on demand, locally, which keeps the environmental impact low while maintaining the standard you’d expect from a collector’s item.

If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to create your own calendar or even simple art prints, Gelato is a great place to start. It’s free to join, and they’re currently offering 50% off your first sample order to help you see the quality yourself.

Gift a Calendar

Featuring the work of 12 artists, this calendar supports young, ambitious, and underrepresented creatives, with all profits going to Arts Emergency. I'm delighted to share that we have already shipped 180+ calendars around the world! Order yours now, just in time for Christmas. It would mean the world to us and future artists.

Our current print is released in collaboration with artist Olena Tolstokora, also known as Bravebirdie, whose work delves into profound themes, exploring the nature of adulthood, empathy, hope, and war. Only available today!

Art Prompt

Line Finderup Jensen’s "I ain’t going nowhere" piece, is a subject that has been extruded from a previous painting, giving it a whole new interpretation and atmosphere. This week's prompt is to do the same. With an already existing piece of work, extract one section or subject to stand alone. This can be anything from a person in a painting to a sentence in a poem. If you don’t have any projects you’d like to physically alter, then instead you can create a copy of the section you think is a piece in its own right and see how it changes your view and emotions surrounding both projects.

See you next Sunday 👋

Thank you so much!
