Hello all ❤️
I'm so delighted to bring you the 40th edition of this newsletter! It's such a gift each week to spend time putting together this selection. I hope you get as much inspiration from receiving it as I do from curating it.
In videos this week, I featured the work of Savanna Judd, who translates place into visual poetry by capturing the intricacies of environments in pencil and paint. Also, Miwa Ito who creates all sorts of wonderful oddities in glass. And, two more artists who have contributed work to Art on a Postcard's summer auction, Alice Herbst and Joseph Dilnot.

Liora Redman is a Miami-based artist whose bold, emotionally layered self-portraits explore identity, womanhood, and queer expression through a deeply personal lens. Born in Zelenokumsk, Russia in 1986 and raised amidst the wide-open landscapes of rural Kazakhstan, Redman’s early environment continues to echo through her work — imbuing it with a sense of strength and introspection.
At just 17, she left for Moscow to pursue her creative ambitions, later relocating to New York in search of artistic freedom. These moves, across geographies, cultures, and versions of self, inform a practice rooted in resilience and reinvention. Her canvases are intimate yet confrontational, reflecting the lived experience of single motherhood, societal expectations, and the liberating force of self-expression.
Now represented in collections across the U.S. and abroad, her work speaks to the transformative power of storytelling through paint. Her latest pieces, available through 33 Contemporary, exemplify her ability to turn personal narrative into universal conversation, balancing vulnerability, introspection, and visual presence.

Art Prompt
Morning thoughts. After waking is often when our minds are most lucid, re-entering the world for a new day after a night spent in our subconscious. Leave a pen and paper by your bed, and as you wake up, challenge yourself to write openly about a creative project you would like to pursue. Express your feelings, desires, and worries. Then, take action to make it happen.
See you next Sunday 👋
Thank you so much!
