Dear art friends,

Welcome to October, a new month of inspiration.

I always find this a wonderful time for artmaking; the sharp change of seasons beckons us toward solitude and craft. I hope life offers you a bounty of time to turn towards your work. If, like many, you are only able to grasp a small moment, do. 2026 is drawing to a close, but we still have art to make!

Art Prompt

Inspired by Taylor Lee’s Shogun Blue Zilla, create an artwork reminiscent of a beloved childhood object that’s memorable to you. This could be a toy, or perhaps a precious object you were forbidden from playing with. It must capture a feeling of nostalgia and make ornamental a distant and dusty memory.

Wishing you inspiration,
