This was such a lovely way to start a Sunday morning! Thank you for bringing this into all our lives and for showcasing some incredibly skillful artists.

The Henrik Aa. Uldalen work reminds me of places I used to be in mentally.Thankfully I'm no longer there, but it's still a beautiful work.

Ooh yeah that piece stood out to me too, it felt like he had a face but it was just hard to make out

That’s so interesting you are reminded of somewhere you are glad not to be anymore. I feel comforted and calm when looking at it despite seeing the typically uncomfortable emotions in it.

Thank you so much for starting this project and sharing living artists!!! It's like a breath of fresh air in my feed. Not only does it inspire me artistically but it makes me think bout all the projects I could just start! Loved the selection of artists each spoke to me in their own way. My one thought for future newsletters is including the medium and title of works when easy to find coz it always gives me more to think about! But honestly just the art is perfect too since it prompts us to explore their socials. Thank you again!! Sending good vibes into the world towards u and this community :)

I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed the newsletter ❤️ To hear I have played a small role in inspiring you artistically honestly means the world. I totally hear you on including the medium and title of works, I will remember that for future editions! Thank you 🤗

Thanks for your work!

I actually have a critical feedback on the newsletter format. I was a bit dissapointed with the descision of leaving out the commentary as I think this is the pivotal point that makes your content unique as opposed to simply scrolling through my tumblr feed or art channels on telegram. Your commentary really helps to bring back the value of the artworks you share beyond 'wow, cool image, I'm gonna save it on my phone', it makes one stop and actually appreciate the mastery of the artist, think about the process and meaning, thus sort of recreating the museum expirience. Because it much differenciates from the optics one has when viewing art on the internet - it's genuine engagement vs consumption. Of course, it depends on the context and viewer's mood, intention etc. and the distinction is deliberately generalised and hyperbolised, but I hope you get the idea. Anyways, yeah, that's why I appreciate what you do, but I understand that producing essays on a regular basis is quite taxing, so if that's the reasoning for the format, it's totally understendible.

I genuinely really appreciate this feedback - it will help me improve! I totally understand that the absence of commentary is different from my usual videos. I will have a think of ways to include this here! I am thinking about writing/recording some longer format content ❤️

As a portrait artist myself I was truly floored by the mural from Sebas Velasco! 💕 And I am fascinated by the stylistic approach of Irene Noren. She reminds me a little bit about the Norwegian artist, Anne Angelshaug. Thank you for creating this space! 🙏

I love this format! Just art and links and a prompt at the bottom. It's simple but really accessible and can be a low time commitment if you're busy or a lovely rabbit hole to go down for hours. Thank you for sharing this.

You're so welcome! I'm really glad the format has resonated on my first go 🤗

Though it's with a cup of tea in a quiet space on a Sunday morning, reading this has truly helped me start my week right. I'm looking forward to next week's newsletter! Having more tips about artists block and how to build an art career would be great.

ARTISTS PAGES's avatar

I'm so glad to hear it. I always find Sundays quite a reflective time, so I thought it would set people up for the week. I will remember those topics for future editions! ❤️
